Monday March 17th, I got into a car accident. Earlier that day I drove my uncle Tom to his doctor for his leg that he had surgery on. That is about an hour drive or so. After hours I drove my uncle Tom back to his home and hung around his house with him along with my cousins.

At 5 o’clock that day, I had to go to work. So after around 3:40ish I got into my car and was driving home, to change and get ready for work at 5 o’clock. I was a mile from my house, taking a left onto my community block and had green to yield. I waited for all of the cars to go by, then I didn’t see anymore cars on the road. So I decided to go on and all of a sudden a car pops up right beside me hitting the passenger side of my car, causing me to flip and slide. This women did not even hit her brakes and was going around 50 mph.

As you can tell, I’m still alive and I’m able to type on a keyboard as I’m writing this blog. This was my first major car accident and I was a bit spooked and shaken up and it happened so fast. I’m not sure if I hit my head or not but the car was on it’s side and I was laying on my left, therefore I was trapped inside my car. I was scared a bit at first being as it’s my first accident and the car was moving, as I was afraid the car would flip over again and crush me. Later to realize my left arm was sliced and there was tons and tons of blood all over the road in between my driver’s door window, pouring out of my left arm.
I had cuts all over, from both of my hands and arms, as the glass from the passenger window and my window broke, of course.

I must have hit my head and blacked out because when I open my eyes for a second time, the police, fire fighters and paramedics were already there. When it first happened, there was a shaken up women who called 911 for me and a man came up to the car to make sure I was alive and doing alright, while he was talking to me getting me calm until help arrives.

After awhile of sitting on my side in my damaged vehicle, the fire fighters threw a blanket on me while they broke open the windshield to get me out. I was then rushed to the hospital and they did cat scans and x-rays. After a couple of hours I talked with a police officer and then with a couple of other people for information about me and the works.

To cut this short, the officer was nice about the whole thing and by law he had to give me a ticket, so he gave me the lowest one and gave me, Failure to Yield. In two weeks I have to go to court about this, that being the police officer gave me two full weeks to heal and all that.

After all of the talk, around 9pm my aunt and grandparents came to the hospital. They had no idea was happened. Being as I was suppose to go into work at 5 o’clock, my aunt and cousin went over there at around 8pm or something and noticed that I wasn’t there. Someone there told them I was at the doctors or something because earlier that day the police officer called my job to make sure they knew.

So my aunt drove over to my grandparent’s house and told them I wasn’t there so they called up the hospital and they told them I was there. So later on they came and visit me.

I was in such bad shape my aunt was really upset and crying for me. I got into the car accident at around 4:14 pm and left the hospital at 11pm.

I’m cutting this short and tons of things happened that day for me..
Shots and “stuff”..

So after all of that, the next day was the worst.
I was in so much pain all over my WHOLE body and I my body kept getting numb.
The next day I went to see a doctor and he told me to get a MRI and some more x-rays done.
Thursday I went to get those done. Today, I’m doing alright and I’m feeling better. However, I’m still in pain in my upper body, mainly my back, shoulders, and neck. (I still have a neck brace on)

I just wanted to let everyone know where I’ve been and what’s been going on. I’m happy that I’m even able to write this on my laptop, as I’ve gotten someone to bring my laptop to me.
I just started walking by myself with a cane Saturday which is a plus for me to healing. It’ll properly be another week before I fully heal, however I’m dealing with the pain and trying to exercise as much as I can and taking my daily pain killers that the doctor prescribed.

Right now I’m going to cut this short and get some more rest now.
So until next time and after I’m fully healed I’ll get back to work on the 24/7 radio server.
