Season 3 – Episode 11: Fresh Blood

As BioWare puts it dramatically, “Her plans and her whereabouts have remained a mystery… until now.”

Which Hunt will hit the marketplace September 7th, for 560 Microsoft Points ($7) on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The content will allow you to create a new, high-powered character or import your hero from Dragon Age: Origins and the Awakening expansion. “But whether you seek answers, revenge, or reconciliation with your lost love,” BioWare warns, “you may find more than you bargained for.”

The announcement mentions five new achievements, new research, and the Shadow Broker intel center. The new DLC will also “give fans from Mass Effect 1 the chance to continue a relationship with Liara.”

So get ready to strap in and enjoy the ride on September 7th!

Season 3 – Episode 10: I Smell A Rat

A reluctant Bill warns Sookie about the dangers she will face. Jesus is intrigued by the mysterious qualities of V. Sam’s recent fit of rage triggers dark memories. Eric takes precautions and fulfills a wish; Arlene turns to Holly for help with a pressing problem; Jason deals with the unexpected, both with Tara and Crystal; Jessica is torn between Tommy and Hoyt. After communing with Talbot, Russell promises to extract vengeance on his enemies.

The demo will have you playing as Starkiller attempting to escape from the clone facilty on Kamino. Starkiller plummets down a tower, avoiding obstacles in route, as he makes his way down. Mind tricks and force pushes will be at work while Starkiller attempts to steal a Tie Fighter to get off the planet.

Valve will also provide the full “No Mercy” campaign from Left 4 Dead as a Left 4 Dead 2 campaign.

1.       Any quitter / disconnecter in a ranked game will automatically be given a loss. The victim will automatically be given a win.

2.       We are currently monitoring the leaderboards and planning on zero’ing out the stats of any accounts found to be using quitting tactics (via high DNF / win percentages and game logs). This monitoring will be standard practice moving forward as well, as we have built in notifications to our server team that will automatically zero out any folks caught “boosting”, or using one account to quit immediately and award a win.

3.       In a Madden Ultimate Team game, a person quitting will have a game burned off of his contracts for the players in the game to discourage this practice. The victim will always receive coins, prorated based on the percentage complete of the game (i.e. if it’s the 1st quarter, he’ll only get ¼ of the coins he would have gotten if he were to finish, if it’s at the end of the game, he’ll get ~90%, etc). The same note applies as above on anyone caught “boosting” after this fix is rolled out – they will be punished with bans, contract removals, or any other tactics we see fit.

4.       We also found an issue where PDLC OTP boosts were being subtracted incorrectly. Anyone that had this happen has had their boost coin purchase refunded.

Moving forward, EA Sports are working on addressing some of the most common feedback in upcoming title updates. Below is a list of the top priority issues EA Sports seem to be hearing the most about that they’re are looking at:

-          Fixing a bug to allow friend invites to ranked games

-          Generally making pass defense more effective

-          Reducing number of broken tackles

-          Fixing user blitz exploit(s)

-          Tuning injuries

-          Tuning CPU & GameFlow play-calling logic

-          Improving play action blocking

-          Improving kick return blocking

-          Improving online connectivity issues with kick meter lag, media streaming, etc.

-          Random stability improvements

So there you go, awesome news for Madden NFL fans out there having issues with their plays of Madden NFL 11. We’re left with EA Sports making this last statement:

But the multiplayer was the funnest. There are now three types of multiplayer modes, Fragile Alliance, Undercover Cop, and Cops and Robbers. Fragile Alliance has you and 7 other people killing goons and cops, grabbing money, and getting out. But friendly fire isn’t just on, its encouraged. The whole point of Fragile Alliance is that someone on your team might kill you, and take all your cash, while trying to get out alive. It was very fun, however, I suffered from this thing I call the Screwball Effect. Example, I got a machine gun, and shoot someone on my team with about 2/3 or more of the clip, I could see the Xs where it indicates a hit. After he goes “Down not Dead”, he got up, and KILLED me without even finishing his clip. But aside from that, it was fun. Undercover Cop has you and 7 people, in a Fragile Alliance scenario, but one of your teammates or you, is an undercover cop. The goal of the undercover cop is to kill all the criminals on your team and stay alive. The undercover cop can kill someone without becoming a traitor, so if you kill someone as the undercover cop while the criminal is alone, your name wont appear as a traitor, which is good. In Cops and Robbers, 12 people, 6 on one team, 6 on the other, will battle it out as cops and robbers, with the robbers still trying to grab the money, but have to go through 6 human controlled cops along the way. Fun.

Overall, the story was short, and didn’t have much of an OMG story as other games, but was still fun to play. But the multiplayer was a good thing to play, lots of variety, and watching your back, anyone, might want you dead. If you rent games, check it out, but unless you’re a hardcore Kane and Lynch fan, I wouldn’t buy it. The game gets a 7/10.

1. If this has any connection to Rapture, why isn’t in mentioned in the series? Obviously, Andrew Ryan would have said something about Columbia as an inspiration. The museum in Bioshock 2 says that Ryan made Rapture in the sea, waking up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, where he said to make the lighthouse leading to Rapture at that location. But no mention of a flying sky city.

2. If Tenenbaum didn’t discover the ADAM sea slug until the 50’s, why are there plasmids in 1912? So they expect me to believe, that plasmids were invented in 1912, and only Columbia knew about it. That would be a lamer excuse than my dog ate my plasmid recipe and then I remembered how to make them in the 50’s again, but way weaker. In the story, if you find all audio recordings, you would learn of the story of Tenenbaum discovering the ADAM filled sea slugs, so it sounded like the ADAM was discovered then, not 1912. Look it up in the Bioshock 2 Wiki.

3. How can they pump us up, if the guy from Bioshock 1 and the Big Daddy from Bioshock 2 didn’t have it? So if they make a better form of telekinesis, why didn’t Jack or Subject Delta have it? I mean, it would only get better and better after time, right? We don’t have crappier TV’s now then in the 20th century do we? If they have a plasmid to make black holes, why didn’t Jack or Subject Delta have it? If they had a plasmid to fly, why didn’t Jack or Subject Delta have it? And in 1912, I highly doubt they had better weapons than ones in the 1950’s. If I see a stronger Tommy Gun, I will be so mad for their unhistorical accuracy.

4. The Big Daddy like thing in the opening of the trailer, will be a final boss. There will be no Big Daddys, no Big Sister like enemies that are over powered and awesome, just normal guy with a gun, after normal guy with a gun. The heart with a head creature will appear, but we will fight it only in the end, in a lame boss battle.

5. How can they call it Bioshock? There are no splicers, no Big Daddys, no plasmids, no ADAM, no Little Sisters, no story. A British guy looking for a girl for some reason. Ohhhh, like I haven’t played something like that before. If the girl was about 30 years older, she would fall in love with the main character, we could see that a mile away.

6. We know it will tie into Bioshock 1, but how? I will tell you. At the end, after defeating the only thing that resembles a Big Daddy in the whole game, the guy will either say “I must change my identity and change in to Andrew Ryan/Sinclair/Cohen/Fontian, or the girl will say, I am Tenenbaum at the end of the game, where the player will say, wow, I cant wait for the sequel to see how Rapture was built, then a sequel will come and it wont have anything to do with Rapture, and then it will get bad reviews because, “We have already seen Columbia, we need a new place.” Just like in Bioshock 2,”We have already seen Rapture, it is repetitive and blah blah blah you are a hater who will hate the Assassins Creed 2 multiplayer for no reason, and use the excuse, the maps are all the same, and the characters are the same.”
